How will the NPQML benefit you?

The Sunningdale Teaching School Alliance is offering the new reformed NPQML – designed to support you in becoming a highly effective senior leader with the skills, confidence and knowledge to contribute to the strategic development of your school. There are many challenges and opportunities working within North East Special Schools. This qualification will provide you with a deeper insight into leadership within the Special Schools’ context.

Who is it for?

NPQML has been developed for leaders who are leading a team with the responsibilities and accountabilities associated with a middle leadership role and for those aspiring leaders ambitious to achieve promotion.

Face to Face Day 2


Teaching and Curriculum Excellence
Face to Face Day 3 Leadership Conference – Directional Leadership


Face to Face Day 4
Middle Leadership, Leading with Impact, Increasing Capability
School improvement project Ongoing throughout the two term programme leading to final assessment


Online Learning, plus 360 Review


Modules – Managing Resource and Risks, and Working in Partnership

Leadership 360 Diagnostic review



The cost of NPQML for Sunningdale Teaching School participants is £700 (with final assessment), which includes a Teaching School subsidy.
