This one-day course has been designed for teachers, support staff or anyone working with students with PDA, or who would like to move into this field.

During the day delegates will develop their understanding and knowledge of PDA and its impact on the individual. Participants will explore in detail the characteristics of “PDA” type behaviour, the differences between PDA and other conditions on the Autism Spectrum, and the facts and myths around this often controversial and misunderstood condition.

By the end of the session, delegates will have an understanding of:

• the behaviours associated with the conditions and the impact they may have
• how to modify and transform the impact that PDA has on learning
• the key principles and strategies of positive behaviour
