From the Autumn term 2021 we are establishing and hosting free termly cross authority regional moderation group meetings where schools from Tyne and Wear, Durham, Northumberland, Teeside and surrounding areas can come together to moderate their general use as well as observations and profiles that they are using as part of their implementation of the Engagement Model, which has been made statutory for use with pupils not yet engaged in subject specific learning from the academic year 2021-22.

These will be practical moderation sessions for schools that are using the model. Schools and practitioners will have the opportunity to share and discuss each others use of the model as well as their recording and understanding of each of the 5 areas. These sessions are not intended for schools that are not using the model with their pupils. Please see our other advertised sessions related to practice sharing around the requirements and implementation of the model.

These sessions will be in-person physical sessions taking place at the SENhub based at Sunningdale School in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.

They will be taking place on the following dates:

• Wednesday 3^rd November 2021 4-6pm
• Wednesday 9^th February 2022 4-6pm
• Wednesday 11^th May 2022 4-6pm

Please feel free to register for as many sessions as you’d like but you will need to book separately for each date via the events page. Schools are able to register as many people as would like to attend. However, places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
