Intensive interaction is an approach to teaching the pre-speech fundamentals of communication to children who have severe learning difficulties and/or autism and who are still at an early stage of communication development.
This 2 hour workshop is designed for educational practitioners working with children with learning difficulties. It will highlight what Intensive Interaction is, who it is aimed at and how its strategies can be employed to enhance the communication skills of children with learning disabilities.
The training is delivered by Joanne Kennedy, an Associate Teacher for Sunningdale School and the Language & Learning Partnership, who has many years’ experience of supporting children with complex needs within education.
Places are limited on this course so please book early to avoid disappointment.
This course costs £15 for parents and £50 for professionals – you will receive an invoice following confirmation of your place on the programme.
