Intensive interaction is an approach to teaching the pre-speech fundamentals of communication to children who have severe learning difficulties and/or autism and who are still at an early stage of communication development.

This 1 and half hour workshop is designed for educational practitioners working with children with learning difficulties. It will highlight what Intensive Interaction is, who it is aimed at and how its strategies can be employed to enhance the communication skills of children with learning disabilities.

The training is delivered by Joanne Kennedy, an Associate Teacher for Sunningdale School and the Language & Learning Partnership, who has many years’ experience of supporting children with complex needs within education.

Due to current restrictions, this session will take place via a virtual  platform. All delegates will be sent access codes/ links prior to the virtual sessions.

This course costs £10 for parents and £50 for educational practitioners. Practitioners working in Sunderland the cost is £40.
